It’s our birthday at Camp Aldersgate and we want you to come celebrate with us at the 35th Annual Fish Fry! Enjoy an afternoon of fried catfish, hushpuppies and more on Sunday, October 14 from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. and explore all Camp Aldersgate has to offer!

Tickets are $15 per person; kids 6 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased online or at Camp on the day of the event. Parking is available at Pediatrics Plus and OrthoArkansas. A free shuttle will be provided to and from Pediatrics Plus (1900 Aldersgate Road) and OrthoArkansas (entrance located on Aldersgate Road).

There will be plenty of birthday-themed activities for the whole family – from cupcake walks to face painting and even a petting zoo! Plus, everyone will get a Camp Aldersgate birthday tote bag to carry around all the treasures collected at the event. Don’t forget to swing by the Merchants Pop-Up Shop and browse from several local vendors inside the Commons Building. All children’s activities during the event are free! This annual event raises money for Camp’s mission ~ to create life-changing experiences for individuals with special needs, enabling them to expand their worlds and express their unique voices.

Don’t forget about the food! Enjoy music while munching on a plate of fried catfish, hush puppies, coleslaw and all the “fixin’s.” There will even be gluten free options for those who have food sensitivities. Special thanks to our talented crew from the Midtown Rotary Club who prepare this food every year. If you don’t have time to hang around, visit the drive-thru at OrthoArkansas for a to-go box.

This year’s “host family” for the event is the Fryar Family. Branon and Katy along with their children Nicolas and Lauren Kate will welcome guests to Camp and share their story as to why Camp Aldersgate is so important to them. Their son, Nicolas, has cerebral palsy and he attended Camp for the first time last summer. “We [saw] him grow and mature just in the short time he was there,” his mom, Katy says. “Camp provides a loving, structured atmosphere; we know they truly care about Nicolas and go above and beyond for all the children.”
